About the Cornerstone

The Cornerstone, PEIs newest meeting and event venue was born from a conversation over coffee. Recognition of the need and the  unique opportunity to design a non-traditional meeting space (not a boardroom) in Summerside.  Located at 6 Queen Street, in the 154-year-old historic Journal Pioneer building. The rooms at The Cornerstone have history and purpose built into the walls.

Partners, Moyna and Pam saw the potential in this historic space.   Both have spent many years working and volunteering in the For Profit and Not for Profit (NFP) community in PEI.  Their experiences in a cross section of industries showed them todays organizations are looking for a different kind of space to do business.

Today’s work culture is changing. We now see individuals ,working from spaces not suitable or spacious enough to host a meeting or an event, but not wanting to acquire or own any more space or just wanting a change of scenery from their current space.

Current trends are supporting employers, employees, organizations and individuals search for spaces to create, collaborate, and celebrate goals, plans, and milestones. The Cornerstone is uniquely positioned to take advantage of this shift.

The Cornerstone was created to provide  the community with a uniquely curated, distraction free, creative meeting and event space.  The Cornerstone exudes a timeless and authentic aesthetic. With high ceilings, beautiful windows and classic wood finishes, its ideal for strategic meetings, creative and collaborative planning sessions, meet and greets or more intimate social gatherings.  The Cornerstone’s versatility provides the perfect frame for any setting. The venue can be tailored to fit the needs and wants of the individual or group renting the space. Furnishings can be reconfigured to whichever format is desired.
